The first edition of the NDAW ACADEMIE basketball camp was held in Guediawaye, Senegal, in honor of Abdoulaye Diene, a remarkable athlete and community leader whose journey and resilience inspire the next generation. NDAW A. inspired by Abdoulaye’s achievements, helped bring this camp to life in his neighborhood.

 

The camp centered on the values of dedication, determination, and discipline, equipping youth with the skills to thrive on and off the court. Participants engaged in dynamic warm-ups, bodyweight training, skills stations, all-star games, as well as a skills challenge, dunk contest, and three-point shootout. Fun group games encouraged interaction and built lasting friendships.

 

Over 60 young athletes attended the camp, receiving 50+ pairs of shoes and 100+ pieces of sports clothing. Throughout the camp, the importance of community, teamwork, and education was emphasized, leaving a lasting impact on all who participated.
