MESSAGE FROM OUR FOUNDERS

At NDAW ACADEMIE, we believe Africa’s youth have the power to shape a thriving continent and overcome inequality through sports and education. Our mission is to create meaningful opportunities that help young people grow, learn, and reach their full potential. By partnering with programs, schools, and orphanages, we foster supportive environments where youth are encouraged to develop confidence, creativity, and the skills needed to excel. Through collaboration with communities and like-minded organizations, we strive to make a lasting impact on every child we reach.

COLIN LAMINE NDAW

This mission is rooted in the lived experience of our founder, Colin Lamine. Growing up across several African countries, Senegal has always been the place he calls home. Raised in Dakar, Colin witnessed many young people unable to access basic resources needed to participate in sports—experiences that shaped his desire to give back to the community that raised him. While continuing his academic and basketball journey in the United States, including attending IMG Academy, representing Senegal at the 2022 U18 African Championship, and now playing Division I basketball at The College of William & Mary, Colin remains deeply connected to Senegal. Through NDAW A., he hopes to use sport as a tool to support, inspire, and create opportunities for the next generation.

DIEYNABA NDAW

This mission is deeply personal to our co-founder, Dieynaba Ndaw. Though she has lived in six different countries, Senegal has always held a special place in her heart. Through her journey, she experienced firsthand the life-changing opportunities that sport can create but also saw the inequalities that still exist, especially for young girls who are too often denied access to those same opportunities.

Dieynaba is deeply committed to breaking those barriers and advocating for a future where every girl has the chance to step onto a court, field, into a classroom, and into her full potential.

Her path took her to IMG Academy and later to Duke University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree while competing at the Division I level. She went on to earn her master’s degree from the University of Miami and now playing professionally in Spain and representing the Senegalese Women’s National Team.

Through NDAW ACADEMIE, she is committed to creating lasting impact by expanding access to sport, promoting education, and building spaces where girls are empowered, supported, and given the opportunity to rise.
